School Bus Information

The bus schedules are provided as a guide for parents and should not be considered final. Schedules can change as students enter and withdraw from the district. We make every effort to follow these schedules for the start of school. After the first week of school, the bus driver will inform the students and/or parents of any change.

Parents should submit any requests for consideration of changes in bus stops online via KASD Form 250, which can be found on the Transportation Services page under Departments & Services at www.kiskiarea.com. All requests must be received by September 15th to be considered for the current school year. Requests received after this date will be reviewed for possible implementation next year unless exceptional circumstances exist (new resident, major construction project, etc.).

All requests for changes in transportation regarding pick-up and drop-off points will require a three-day implementation period.

Please review the rules for school bus transportation in the student handbook. These rules promote safety on district transportation, and all students will be expected to comply.

The bus driver is in complete charge of the bus and has the same authority as a teacher in the classroom. All drivers have undergone extensive training and testing to operate a school vehicle. They must devote all of their energies and skills to the safe operation of the vehicle and cannot be distracted by student discipline problems.
